The rotation of the earth by Stuart Greenbaum

While we don’t directly feel the constant physical rotation of the Earth, we observe the Sun rising in the east and setting in the west.  We synchronize our clocks to this daily cycle and organize our lives accordingly.  Each new day brings something new and this piece is written in the spirit of finding anything good, beautiful, joyous and worthy along the way.  It was commissioned by the Hush Foundation in support of adolescent mental health and written for the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s ACO Collective as a partner for Hush 18. The premiere performances were given at Angel Place, City Recital Hall, Sydney on 16 September 2018 and the following evening at Elizabeth Murdoch Hall, Melbourne Recital Centre on 17 September.

Capture the spirit of Christmas with Victoria Chorale and the Art of Sound orchestra in the beautiful setting of St Paul’s Cathedral.

  • Vivaldi's brilliant Gloria, a sublimely uplifting work

  • A selection of joyous Christmas carols.

  • Stuart Greenbaum’s delightful work The Rotation of the Earth.

Please note:  All performers will be doubly vaccinated and all audience members over the age of 12 must show their Covid Vaccination Certificate.
