Rada Tochalna –  Soprano

 

Rada has appeared in numerous operatic roles, including Caroline, Constance, Amor, Fairy Godmother, Foreign Woman and First Lady, and in 2016 sung the role of Micaela for the BK Opera in Melbourne. 

 

Rada is a regular soloist with the Melbourne Classic Orchestra. She was a guest soloist at the Spring Street Beat at Parliament House and the Melbourne East Arts Festival last year. This year she has sung at the esteemed Wesley Music Centre in Canberra.

Anna Plotka – Mezzo Soprano

 

Anna has performed as a soloist in many classical concerts, including Dixit Dominus, Messiah, Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, Vivaldi’s Gloria and the superb Miserere Allegri.

 

She has been a core member of the Victorian Opera chorus since 2013, an alto scholar at St Peter’s Eastern Hill. Anna has a B Mus (Honours) and is currently undertaking a M Mus (Performance) at Melbourne Conservatorium of Music. 

Timothy Daly

 

Timothy is a well-rounded musician having completed a double degree in Music and Education (secondary) in 2011 at Monash University going on to complete an Honours degree in music the following year.

 

He is currently part of the Opera Scholars program and regularly performs in Melbourne Opera’s chorus. This year he sang a lead role in Offenbach’s Le 66 and multiple roles in Malcolm Williamson’s Our Man in Havana.

Kristian Gregory

 

Kristian began his formal music training at age nine with the National Boys Choir of Australia. He completed a Bachelor of Music at Monash University and three years of study with the Opera Studio Melbourne.  Kristian's musical loves include french and twentieth century art song.

Kristian has worked with Victorian Opera, Melbourne Opera and Post Opera, and performed opera roles such as "Schaunard" in La Boheme, "Father" in the Australian premier of The Juniper Tree, “Don Giovanni” in Don Giovanni, "David" in A Hand of Bridge, “Papageno” in the magic flute and "Peter" in Hansel and Gretel.

Zachary McCulloch

 

New Zealand born tenor, Zachary completed a Bachelor of Music from the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2015.  He was a member of the Opera Scholars Australia 2015-2016.

Other performance highlights include performing in the Morning Melody concert series at Hamer Hall, with mezzo-soprano Suzanne Johnston; tenor soloist in the Bach Cantata Gott ist mein König and in Saint-Sæns Oratorio de Noël with the Monash Chorale.
