Mario Dobernig - Conductor
Mario is the Artistic Director and Conductor for Victoria Chorale and the Art of Sound Orchestra.
Engagements for the 2017/2018 season include performances with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra in Doha for the Qatar Festival (broadcasted on Qatari Television Al Jazeera, 2017, with re-invitation). In Austria, Mozart’s Requiem for the Friesach Festival, Beethoven No. 5 with the Kapfenberg Symphony and performances at St. Stephen’s Cathedral in Vienna. In Australia, Hobart’s MONA FOMA (broadcast on ABC Classic FM), Brahms’s Requiem and Alto Rhapsody, the masses of Schubert, Mozart, Haydn, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 and Eroica, Saint-Saens Christmas Oratorio, Barry Conyngham’s DAWNING, multiple festival appearances with Electronic Dance Music Producers as well as cultural exchange programs between Austria and Australia and returns to Europe in 2018 and 2019.

This delightful program includes a dramatic Christmas Oratorio,
a quintessentially British Fantasia on Christmas Carols,
a soaring O Magnum Mysterium, and some very beautiful Christmas Carols. Mario Dobernig conducts the choir and leads the vibrant Art of Sound Orchestra.

Georgia Wilkinson - Soprano
Since undertaking her professional debut in a 2014 production of Masterclass, Georgia has gone on to study and perform both nationally and internationally in Italy, Germany, China, England and Australia, and has performed alongside Australian icons such as David Hobson, Sylvie Paladino, Teddy Tahu Rhodes and Marina Prior. Georgia has been invited to study with renowned vocal coaches in New York City at the start of 2018 before returning to Australia for upcoming performances.

Shakira Dugan - Mezzo-soprano
Shakira is a Mezzo Soprano from Stratford. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2015.
Shakira is a current grand finalist for the Opera Scholars Australia and a Developing Artist for Victorian Opera's 2017 season where she recently starred as Hansel for the touring production of Hansel & Gretel.

Zachery McCulloch - Tenor
Zachary McCulloch completed his Bachelor of Music at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music under the guidance of Suzanne Johnston and David Barnard in 2015. Since then, he has appeared in numerous productions and concerts in Melbourne and around Australia, most notably in a production of The Mikado that took him on a regional tour of Australia. He has also appeared as a member of the Opera Australia Chorus in their 2016 production of Wagner’s’ Ring Cycle.

James Emerson - Baritone
James Emerson is an upcoming Bass-Baritone from Essendon, Melbourne, who has performed in professional productions with Victorian Opera and Opera Australia. At only twenty years old, James has won awards from many Eisteddfods and has also been a finalist in competitions like the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic’s Oratorio competition. James is currently studying Classical Voice and music at The University of Melbourne aiming to pursue a career as a professional singer who is able to sing all types of vocal repertoire.
