Meet our soloists - Phoebe Daisy Paine Soprano

Phoebe Daisy is an Adelaide and Melbourne based opera singer. With a voice described by critics as “Nothing short of exquisite” (Classic Melbourne) and “Mellifluously radiant” (Australian Arts Review), Phoebe has performed as a soloist with some of Australia’s most notable musical ensembles and companies, and as a principal artist with independent opera companies including BK Opera, Lyster Opera and Savoy Opera.


Phoebe holds a Masters degree in operatic performance from the Melbourne Conservatorium, and was previously engaged as a Young Artist with the State Opera of South Australia. Phoebe is currently a Rising Artist with The Australian Contemporary Opera Company. She has performed extensively as a soloist in oratorio, highlights including with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic in Faure’s Requiem and performing Mozart’s Exsultate Jubilate with a chamber ensemble comprised of players from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.


In 2024 she was awarded the Arnold Matters scholarship for a singer of outstanding operatic potential. Phoebe is travelling to Berlin in June to undertake a two month intensive at the Berlin Opera Academy, where she will be playing The Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. Her stage credits include Adele in Die Fledermaus, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, Eurydice in Orphee Aux Enfers and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.
